Community Outreach Mission
Plan, promote, implement and supervise caring programs for members and non-members in need of essential material goods such as food, clothing and shelter. Promote concern and care for the emotional and physical well being of members of the congregation community. Interface with local and national social ministry organizations and agencies, especially those related to our church, to provide information and enlist support.
Jesse Tree
The Jesse Tree became part of the Advent journey for Holy Family when church members found themselves in serious financial straits during the holiday season. The Jesse Tree continues to answer the needs of extended families both in and outside of our faith community. A Christmas tree is decorated with ornaments labeled with gift card amounts from various retail stores. Holy Family parishioners purchase the cards, which are presented to families who are then able to enjoy the holiday shopping and giving experience.

Friends of St. Andrew Hospitality Center is a day shelter started by Queen of Peace Catholic Church in 1986. Homeless individuals and families can enjoy a lunch, receive non-perishables from the food bank, receive help with job searches, have an address at which they can receive personal mail, and in general, receive a helping hand. Holy Family collects food and personal care products each month and delivers to Friends of St. Andrew. The shelter is located at 1525 Dallas Street in Aurora. Phone (303)364-2329.
Family Promise of Greater Denver partners with diverse congregations to provide shelter, meals and hospitality to families who are experiencing homelessness across the Denver metro area. Family Promise currently partners with numerous host and support congregations that support their mission: To provide families with emergency shelter, meals and supportive services to lift them up on their path to self-sufficiency.
Holy Family has had a vital presence in Family Promise since 2001, serving as a support congregation to Christ the Savior Lutheran Church when families are in residence during week long rotations. We assist with van transport, dinners, and overnights.
